About Giljanes Hostel & Camping

Giljanes,
the travellers' paradise

The memorable place where travellers from all around the world write an another chapter of their travel adventure.

Greetings, wanderers and adventurers! I’m Kristjan, the heart and soul behind the place known as Giljanes Hostel & Camping. For a handful of years now, I’ve been building a place where travel enthusiasts like you can find a home away from home.

I love to explore the world myself and whenever I set foot in a new destination, I seek for more than just ticking off landmarks – I seek to bond with like-minded people, to swap travel stories and gain new friendships. It’s this very sentiment that led me to have my own hostel in the stunning landscapes of the Faroe Islands.

Here, on this beautiful islands, not only will you craft memories of breathtaking islands, but you’ll also meet other travellers with the same passion and get new friends. It’s the kind of place where hearty laughter blends seamlessly with the sound of crashing waves, and every sunrise paints a new chapter in the story of your travel adventure.

Giljanes isn’t just a place to lay your head – it’s a memorable place where wanderers like you become part of our ever-growing family. And once you’ve experienced the beauty of the islands, believe or not, you’ll be willing to return to this extraordinary place.

When I’m not at Giljanes, my trusted companion Felix, the cat, takes center stage. This ginger-furred gentleman, brimming with charm, will be your first welcome when you arrive to Giljanes.

So, fellow adventurers, are you ready to embark on an unforgettable voyage? Giljanes awaits but before you can have a stroll through the website and get an idea of the place where you will travel to.
